Your own tried and true pimple remedy (home remedies preferred).?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had a particular pimple remedy, preferably a home remedy (i.e. not just pimple creams and cleansers but cures using everyday items) which they themself have tried and found to be effective, rather than found on the internet and just regurgitated here. Details would be great, as would a rating out of 10 (10 being the highest). Thanks!|||This is what I do:

Mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good constancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. these two things are very inexpensive and it%26#039;s very easy to do since there is only two ingredients.

If you want an exfoliate, mix honey (pure/no sugar) with sugar or salt and put scrub gently on your face.

If you have really dry skin, use lemon, olive oil, and sugar/salt. Make sure there isn%26#039;t too much oil though.

Mash bananas with honey and spread on face and leave for 10-15 minutes. This is just to nurish you skin,

Toothpaste is good for drying out your pimple (for some people). Put only a little bit before you go to sleep. Some people use this as a mask but DON鈥楾 EVER DO THIS! It can change your skin tone and make your face discolored.

Aloe vera helps scars lighten and less noticeable (lemon, cocoa butter, witch hazel, and tea tree oil do the same thing). Use the gel (of the aloe plant) or the real thing.

Try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not too hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin. Then, use cold water at the end to close you pores. The smaller your pores are, the less likely you%26#039;re prone to pimples. Clearasil, Neutrogena, and proactive are good choices to start if you want a cleanser. Don%26#039;t use body soaps because they dry out your skin. Don%26#039;t scrub too hard either, because it can irritate your skin.

An egg yoke can be used to make you pores smaller. I used this when I had pimples. Just take the egg yolk (the yellow part) and leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water and then splash your face with cold water.

Keep your hair out of your face because the oils in your hair could go into your pores. Change you sheets because they%26#039;re are trapped with dirt, oils, etc.

Zinc (type of vitamin) is the one of the best things you can use to get rid of pimples. You can buy these almost about any large store (such as Wal-Mart or Shaws.) Have one tablet per day and try to cut down the junk food and replace it with vegetables and fruits. Drink lots of water and don%26#039;t pop you acne. Popping acne can lead to acne scars.

If you have sensitive skin, don%26#039;t use make up. Some of the things in make up can clog your pores and cause pimples.|||sometimes i put a dot of toothPASTE (not gel) on the zit to draw it open.|||Well base from what I have experienced, I would have to say take a little bit of honey and small peices of banana and massage over face, let it tighten for 10 minutes, then rinse off with luke warm water and then cold water to opena nd close your pores. I swear that the honey and banana mask will tighten, smooth, clear, and make your skin feel re-newed.

The honey dehydrates your skin and yes, it has to be pure honey and the banana will moistruized your skin.

After that, take some Clean and Clear Persa Gel 10 (acne spot treatment) and put it on before going to bed, next morning, rinse off and I swear your skin will feel and look so good!|||Aspirin + honey mask :) I saw it online, and tried it (I%26#039;m a bit of a beauty nut.) The honey MUST be organic, or the anti-bacterial properties are killed when the honey is heated for less drip.

- Crush 3 aspirins with mortar + pestle until it%26#039;s very fine (or buy the dissolvable non-coated kind and let it dissolve with 2 drops of water,) add two drops of honey. Spread on your face :)

Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide as an exfoliant is also excellent. Just add it together and voila...or use baking soda + hydrogen peroxide as a SPOT treatment. Using it as a topical treatment (All over your face) will dry you out, unless your face is super super oily. Baking soda is an amazing cleaning agent so it clears out the pores (and blackheads!)

These two are my favorites. :) I used to be acne-ridden, but now I have near to perfect skin. It%26#039;s so much smoother, and I only have one pimple in my hairline right now.|||if its very red and sore i get a paracetamol tablet and wet it and rub it over the spot it brings the redness down and stops the hurt.

toothpaste is good also if you can feel one coming the night before :)|||Don%26#039;t eat fatty food or butter.|||Aspirin contains Beta hydroxy acid which is a powerful defoliant ,so you can crush 1to 2 Aspirin tablets mix with a little water and apply on pimples for 15 minutes and wash.
