Cell phone raditions and pimple on ear?

Hi, me and my boyfriend talk a lot on phone and I mean a LOT, like hours at a time, since past few months. A week ago, he had this pimply thing on his left ear where he holds the phone and his ear ached very slightly, when touched. 2-3 days later, I get similar thing on my left ear too (where I hold the phone). Is this any sign of cancer or something? I read somewhere that cell phone radiations may cause cancer/brain tumor. Should I be worried? Please help.|||OK - it is probably nothing, but if the pimple doesn%26#039;t clear up and remain painful, have it checked. My husband has an accute melanoma (skin cancer) which began as a small pimple behind his ear. He thought his glasses irritated it...thank God he didn%26#039;t ignore it any longer than he did.

As for whether or not cell phones can cause cancer - no one is sure. If they were, cell phones would be banned or radically changed. However, we suspect it may have contributed to his melanoma since it is where he holds his phone. We doubt that it caused it - but who knows. Why not be safe and cut back on your phone time?

Whatever, do not ignore a pimple or anything that causes worry or stress. Better to find out that it is %26quot;nothing%26quot;. But even if told it is nothing, if it does not clear up, keep making doctors check.|||very unlikely..

pimples are usually caused by dirty oily skin,,

I am not saying that you are dirty,

but try keeping your ear clean, and wipe the hear piece with an alc.|||No, it is an absolute myth that microwave radiation from cellular phone usage causes cancer. Such a thing would defy a simple law of physics taught in high school. Microwave radiation is in the longer wavelengths of radiation below the visible light spectrum. In order for a type of radiation to be able to cause cancer it has to have wavelength shorter then the visible light violet and have enough energy potential to ionize which does not fit the criteria of cell phone radiation. When radiation ionizes it creates harmful free radicals that damage genetic material in cellular tissues causing the cells to become cancerous. Since microwave radiation from cell phones are too long in wavelength and lack the energy potential to cause any chemical change in the human body, cancer from cell phone usage is impossible. The pimple on your ear is most likely the result of slightly rubbing dirt and oil present on the earpiece of your cell phone on your skin clogging its pores. Like the previous persons response use a pad soaked in rubbing alcohol to clean the earpiece of bacteria and oil.
