I had what to I believe was a pimple on the shaft of my penis, so I popped it. Just like a normal pimple the puss and the head came out. But i noticed a minute later that it became swollen in that spot. I left it alone for a day and woke up the next morning and the swelling was reduced. my boyfriend has the same type of issues sometimes. thats a more sensitive area so it takes longer for the swelling and redness to go away...give it time and make sure to keep up on ur hygiene and it will be fine..

It seems pretty obvious that that is what it was, since it behaved exactly like a pimple. If you have a bit outbreak of this kind of thing regularly, and you have been engaging in risky sex, you should probably get tested. But it sounds like this was just a pimple. But they are known to never be just one and usually the are as many as a dozen. Also herpes are blisters not pimples, so that sounds more like a clogged pore, that got infected and produced a boil like pimple!
