What do I do when my baby(5months) gets a rash w/pimple on face?

In asking a question of this nature you need to keep in mind you may be asking for medical answers and no medical person or physician in their right mind is going to answer that question here without first examining your baby for legal, ethical, moral and medical reasons. So if someone suggests any medication do not accept that answer or use it as you need to consult your baby%26#039;s physician as the physician will know more about your baby%26#039;s allergies, heat rash, virus, illness related rashes, diet or anything medically related. This is a young baby and you should use extreme caution as to whom you ask for answers. As a licensed cosmetologist if it is a pimple this is caused by a clogged pore which is common. Using a mild pH balanced soap regularily and soft wash cloth with lukewarm to the touch water then rinsing well may help. If the skin becomes dry a nonpetroleum based nonwaxed based conditioning skin lotion may help. A baby is growing very fast like a teenager such that pores can easily become clogged. Also a common treatment for skin problems is to steam the skin with some camphor in the water but as it is also inhaled when done you need to ask your physician if this is acceptable for a very small baby with a very newly developing immune system. Keep the fingernails trimmed to prevent scratching and hands clean along with nails on the baby. Treat the baby gently. Dirty hands carrying food germs etc. are one of the many causes of acne pimples in teens who do not keep their hands off their face. I hope this is of help to you.|||My daughter had this and our doctor gave us a cream that cleared it up. My wife took her in, so I don%26#039;t know what the cause was.|||I have had that happen with my 5 month old , i usually use aquaphor or vitacillina. Aquaphor is available at walmart, walgreens, etc. the vitacillina is a mexican product available at any store that sells mexican products, such as El Mercado market or Don Juan Foods, etc. I don%26#039;t know where you live, but hopefully, you will have one of these products available at your local store. Hope this helps. Also washing baby face after meal will help also cause they are usually caused by the formula leaking down around baby%26#039;s mouth.|||u go and see the DR. and the DR. gives u some medicine and u put the medicine on the braking out is and do the time the DR.gives u or can do it Ur self put the baby in the warm tub and let the baby sock in it for like 20mints or it depends on how bad the baby is breaking out wile Ur in the bathroom with the baby.|||my sister%26#039;s son had this and he was not able to eat carrot and thats why he was breaking out. also sometimes babys get them when they are first born.|||Talk to your doctor. It could either be eczema or it could be a fungus on the skin. My 2 year old has had it for quite a while, and i always thought it was diaper rash until recently when I took her to the doctor and she recommended Tinactin or any anti-fungal cream. But she told me to make sure it was the cream and not the spray that I got, because the sprays do tend to have alcohol in them and would really burn the baby.
