What are boils from? You know the kind that are like a big pimple.?

I always get them on the inside of my leg and they get real bad and hurt all the time. If anyone know please inform me thanks.|||Boils can also be caused as a result of a staff infection. When shaving your legs the hair follicle becomes infected and as a result a boil will produce. Try using a new blade every time you shave. If this does not work then see your doctor.|||they are big pimples, they are caused from a virus inside your body, a small pimple develops then your skin gets irritated by rubbing it or your pants then it forms into a boil, try soaking it in warm water. Tell your doctor or a dermatologist.|||I used to get them and I think they are toxins in your body that your body is trying to get rid of. When I got them they were on the insides of my thighs close to my sh-nookie.

Do not try to pop them because if you do it wrong and the puss goes inside and not out it can make you very sick. What I found helped was to soak in steaming hot water -when I mean hot I mean as hot as you can stand it. I started exercising allot and after a couple of weeks I stopped getting them and I haven%26#039;t got them since. Go talk to a Doc he/she can prescribe antibiotics or something.|||thats from chaffing! my bf had one last year... u have to wear long shorts... also powder the area, u cannot let your legs rub together when u walk, also avoid sugar it makes them worse. it was so bad he had to wear the long bicycle shorts everyday, but those are nylon n can make it worse too, so a COTTON pad had to be on it everyday, avoid neosporin or petrolatum based ointments or anything greasy on it........... (they sell a boil med avoid that its greasy!) if u can find 100% cotton long shorts that is best. he used diaper rash ointment, that one is good or chaffing powder like gold bond is good.|||This is a hard question to answer without submitting to a physical exam. What may appear to be boils could very well be insect bites or a manifestation of a more generalized disease (systemic illness). Best to get confirmation by your Family Physician or a Dermatologist.

That said, the most common type of %26quot;boil%26quot; is an infectious lesion, which is also known as a pustule. It contains infectious material, most commonly a bacteria called staph (short for staphlococcus) and can be transmitted by touching to other parts of your body or someone else%26#039;s if you touch an open lesion and then touch someone else.

YOu do not mention your age. In kids and young adults a common form of %26quot;boils%26quot; is something called %26quot;impetigo%26quot;, usually occurring on the face, but can also occur elsewhere.

If this is indeed a staph lesion, avoid scratching or squeezing it. Rather, apply warm soaks and it will open and resolve on its own. Usually. If it does not, then you may need a course of antibiotics.

Again, it is almost impossible to know for certain what these %26quot;boils%26quot; are without seeing them and their distribution on your body.

You do not mention whether you have joint aches or pains, fever or if they are located anywhere else on the body.

If they persist, best to see your doctor.

Good Luck.|||if you get them often you may want to check them out with a doctor, they may be a staff infection. if you have staff in your blood they may pop up often and hurt terribly. check with your doctor, for treatment. but otherwise, try to wear cotton pants, wash the area with antibacterial, it may be from clogged pores, maybe from dirt and sweat|||get medical attention. it can be an infection|||If you%26#039;re getting boils on the inside of your thighs, I%26#039;d guess that you%26#039;re shaving a bit too aggressively there. What you have aren%26#039;t so much spontaneous boils but boils that are the consequence of ingrown hairs.

When this happens to me (and it does, once in a while) a hot compress applied over the course of a few days helps, but the best remedy is to shave properly and not let the situation develop. Follow the grain of the hair with the razor, don%26#039;t shave against it. If following the grain doesn%26#039;t get you as close as you want (it IS swimsuit season again, isn%26#039;t it?), try a depilatory agent like Nair or Neet. This stuff is awful, but it definitely does the job.

As always, make sure you%26#039;ve washed well with a cloth or puff before shaving. Use a clean, sharp razor with even strokes. Rinse well afterward, dry and apply moisturizer of your choice. I%26#039;m hopeful for your sake that this is the answer to your boils question and that they will bother you no more!

Good luck!|||boils are like lumps very much swollen and produces whiteish, yellowish to greenish puss.

if it get anyworse, just see your doctor there are home remedies that people are doing like burning its %26#039;eye%26#039; with a lighted cigarette but they are just making it worst spreading it all over.

you should seek medical attention. see your doctor.
